Have you heard the great news? Makom has been selected by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP) as a Healthy People 2030 Program Champion!
The health and wellbeing of the people we support has always been and will always be our top priority. We are pleased to partner with ODPHP on this critical effort.
“ODPHP is thrilled to recognize Makom for its work to support the Healthy People 2030 vision,” says RADM Paul Reed, MD, ODPHP Director. “Only by collaborating with partners nationwide can we achieve Healthy People 2030’s overarching goals and objectives.”
Healthy People 2030 Champions are public and private organizations that support the Healthy People 2030 vision: A society in which all people can achieve their full potential for health and wellbeing. This vision directly aligns with our own: A world where people with intellectual and developmental disabilities share the same options and opportunities for a well-lived life as all other members of the community.
We’re committed to working toward Healthy People’s overarching goals and objectives and helping to improve health and wellbeing at the local and state levels. ODPHP recognizes and supports Champions — with information, tools, and resources — as we work to promote Healthy People 2030. Makom is honored to be a part of this great mission.
By working together, we can achieve these objectives and become healthy people champions! We can eliminate health disparities and improve the health and wellbeing of all people. We hope you will join us and support our efforts!
